Job Description – QA Lead (Electronics & Embedded Systems)
About the Role We are seeking a QA Lead to drive the quality assurance process for our hardware and embedded products.
The QA Lead will be responsible for establishing robust test plans, ensuring thorough validaton of electronics and firmware, and setting up a scalable testing infrastructure.
This role requires a strong background in electronics and embedded systems, combined with leadership skills to plan, execute, and manage end-to-end QA actives.
Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Planning o Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and validatoin procedures aligned with product requirements.
o Define QA processes, methodologies, and best practices for embedded hardware and firmware testing.
o Establish quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement.
Test Execution & Infrastructure
Lead setup and management of testing infrastructure including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), programmable loads, current measurement instruments, power supplies etc.
Define and Conduct functional, regression, stress, and reliability testing on hardware and firmware. o Drive automaton of test processes wherever possible.
Collaboration & Leadership o Work closely with hardware, firmware, and product engineering teams to understand design specifications and translate them into test requirements o Lead and mentor QA engineers in test execution, troubleshooting, and documenting.
Act as the quality advocate ensuring products meet reliability and performance standards before release. Problem Solving & Reporting o Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and collaborate with design teams to resolve issues. o Prepare QA reports and provide clear feedback to stakeholders. o Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external certifications (if applicable).
Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of electronics testing tools: oscilloscopes, DMMs, power analyzers, electronic loads, etc. Familiarity with firmware and hardware design principles (MCUs, sensors, communication protocols like UART, I2C, SPI, MQTT).
Experience in test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
Ability to set up and maintain test infrastructure for embedded hardware validation.
Hands-on knowledge of debugging embedded systems using tools like logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, tracing tools or protocol analyzers.
Exposure to test automaton for hardware/firmware validation (Python/Embedded test frameworks mandatory). So Skills

Leadership and team management experience, mentoring junior QA engineers.
Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Experience 5+ years of QA experience in electronics/embedded systems
