Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Firmware Engineer located in Hyderabad. The Lead Firmware Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware for fire suppression systems and safety controls. Day-to-day tasks include writing and debugging code, conducting code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. The role also involves maintaining and updating existing firmware, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and participating in project planning and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming and firmware development
  • Experience with microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware interfaces
  • Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing firmware
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN
  • Understanding of fire suppression systems, safety controls, and related industry standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in firmware development
  • Experience with project management and technical leadership is a plus
