Role Overview

The Site Supervisor / Site Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of FOID's modular furniture and interior design projects. This role involves daily supervision of site activities, coordination with vendors and teams, ensuring quality standards, maintaining timelines, and ensuring safe and compliant work practices. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities to manage onsite execution efficiently.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision

  • Oversee daily onsite activities for modular furniture installation and interior works.
  • Ensure all work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
  • Coordinate work schedules for carpenters, electricians, plumbers, civil workers, and other contractors.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.

2. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain FOID's quality standards.
  • Verify materials delivered to site as per BOQ and specifications.
  • Ensure proper installation practices and rectify defects promptly.
  • Maintain safety protocols and ensure workers follow site safety guidelines.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Communicate daily with the Project Manager regarding progress and challenges.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors for smooth workflow.
  • Attend site meetings, record minutes, and resolve onsite issues proactively.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily work reports, progress photos, and site logs.
  • Track material consumption and raise requests for additional materials when required.
  • Maintain checklists for quality, safety, and installation for each stage of project execution.

5. Problem Solving & Issue Management

  • Identify onsite challenges and provide timely solutions.
  • Manage rework, delays, or operational issues efficiently.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with FOID standards and client expectations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of modular furniture installation, interior execution, and site measurements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD/Sketch).
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and team-management skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and proactive decision-making.
  • Understanding of civil, electrical, and plumbing basics related to interiors.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and site compliance.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields.
  • 2–5 years of onsite experience in interior / modular furniture projects.
  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary site teams.

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Full-time onsite role involving travel to project locations.
  • Ability to work under tight project deadlines.
  • Should be comfortable managing teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
