Job Title: Equity Sales Trader (Institutional) FII

Department: Institutional Dealing

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow relationships with Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), ensuring seamless execution of trades and high-quality client servicing.
  • Regular interaction with FII clients through calls, meetings, and market updates to drive business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Research and Sales teams to provide institutional clients with insightful trading and investment ideas.
  • Offer timely and proactive market intelligence, trade flows, and execution strategies tailored to FII needs.
  • Execute large trades (Blocks/OFSS) and regular trades in the Cash and F&O markets for FII clients.
  • Ensure compliance with global best practices in execution, trading strategies, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with back office, Compliance, IT, and other support functions to facilitate smooth trade settlements and regulatory adherence.
  • Operate and manage trades through platforms such as Omnesys and Algo-based trading systems.
  • Leverage Bloomberg functions, EMSX, and FIX routing systems for efficient trade execution.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate with 7-8 years of experience in Institutional Equity Sales Trading, preferably with FII clients.
  • Certification in NISM Series VII & VIII is mandatory.
  • Strong expertise in Bloomberg functions, Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS reporting.
  • Client-facing personality with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Deep understanding of execution and operational workflows in institutional equity trading.
