As the
Bar Supervisor
at Merlis Coimbatore, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring that guests enjoy an exceptional beverage and service experience. You will support the F&B leadership in maintaining quality standards, training bar staff, managing inventory, and upholding the ambiance and efficiency of the bar area. Merlis Coimbatore is an elegant new luxury hotel set amidst 4 acres of serene landscapes, ideally located just 2 kilometers from Coimbatore International Airport. The hotel features 142 meticulously designed rooms, five premium dining outlets, and an array of world-class facilities, including two grand ballrooms, a spacious banquet lawn, and six well-equipped meeting rooms. Duties and Responsibilities
Bar Operations Management

  • Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and licensing regulations.
  • Maintain a welcoming and well-organized bar environment that reflects the Merlis brand identity.

Beverage Preparation and Quality Control

  • Prepare and oversee the creation of cocktails, mocktails, and specialty beverages.
  • Ensure beverage presentation, consistency, and portion control meet established standards.
  • Conduct regular tastings and quality checks to maintain excellence.

Team Supervision and Training

  • Lead, train, and mentor bartenders and service associates on mixology, service etiquette, and product knowledge.
  • Schedule staff and assign daily responsibilities to ensure optimal coverage during operations.
  • Encourage a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and guest-focused service.

Guest Engagement and Experience

  • Interact with guests to recommend beverages, suggest pairings, and personalize service.
  • Address guest feedback or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Promote a vibrant, engaging bar atmosphere that enhances guest satisfaction and encourages repeat visits.

Inventory and Cost Management

  • Monitor bar stock, requisitions, and consumption reports to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Implement cost control measures to minimize wastage and maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores teams to ensure timely supply of ingredients and beverages.

Promotions and Innovation

  • Collaborate with the F&B Manager to plan and execute themed nights, beverage promotions, and seasonal offers.
  • Stay informed on global mixology trends and introduce creative concepts to enhance the bar's offerings.
  • Uphold the Merlis commitment to providing a luxurious and memorable social experience.
