Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor mainframe systems, ensuring high availability and optimal system performance.
  • Write, execute, and troubleshoot JCL scripts to support job automation and batch processing.
  • Use RDBMS databases for data access, manipulation, and reporting purposes.
  • Work collaboratively with infrastructure, development, and support teams to deliver and support technology solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in TSO, ISPF, and SDSF environments.
  • Assist in designing and deploying data archival strategies, including support for SAP Data Archival where required.
  • Participate in system upgrades, performance tuning, and operational documentation.
  • Contribute to infrastructure-related projects and ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards.

Skills Required:

Must-Have:

  • Experience with mainframe systems and utilities
  • Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language)
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts and practical usage
  • Familiarity with mainframe tools like TSO, ISPF, and SDSF

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to SAP Data Archival processes or tools
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure automation and batch scheduling tools
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
