EDW Quality Assurance

The key areas we are looking for are as follows:

• Proficient in working with Enterprise Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence Systems with a proficiency rating of 8 or higher out of 10 in EDW / BI systems.
• Experience with SQL with a proficiency rating of 8 or higher out of 10 in SQL
• Experience with Database Designing, Query Optimization and Indexing of tables.
• Proficient with complex data integrations from sources such as Sybase, Oracle, SQL etc.
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint tools
• Experience with Hashing to index and retrieve items in Database.
• Should know database concepts like star schema, snowflake schema etc.
• Knowledge of working and migrating in different environments Development, Testing, Production etc.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira like tools
• Formulating EDQ Business requirements and translating it into technical ones.
• Leading BI software development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Report curation and data modelling, Participation in data warehouse design.
• Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the applications organization to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals.
• Interview stakeholders and develop roadmap for success given project prioritization and budget.
• Provide thought leadership in platform rationalization strategy, development organization structure and alignment.
• Participates in the planning for retirement of systems programs, and migration of systems infrastructure.
• Develop business cases and ROI for department to get buy-in from senior management.
• Evangelize self-service BI and visual discovery while helping to change Excel based culture.

Qualifications:

• Must have multiple years of Data Quality or part of Data assurance team
• Must have experience of EDW, ETL
• Must have multiple years experience of SQL
• Good exposer of delta handling and error handling
• Must have good experience with Data Modeling, Star or snowflake schemas, Dim tables or fact tables
• Experience with Business Intelligence, Analytics and BI Strategic.
• Experience with BI Technology: SQL
• Experience with different SQL versions from 2015 to 2025 (based on number of years of experience)
• Good to have Sybase Knowledge but not mandatory
• Good to have Power BI experience (data flow, data modeling, app concept, deployment pipeline and Rest API)
• Working experience with Data base administrator
• Results and goals oriented with excellent work ethic, self-motivated and demonstrable experience managing through conflict.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong business acumen and willingness to learn business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with peers in IT and business units to align development work/objectives with corporate goals and objectives.
• Must be knowledgeable in software development lifecycles/methodologies i.e., agile
• Has strong presentation and collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation.
• Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
• Bachelors Degree required, masters degree a plus.
• Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work independently, and in teams.
• Able to collaborate with teams and have a strong desire to excel.
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. To be able to work with client personnel in USA directly and to be able to communicate with them.
