Our client is a young upcoming Management Consulting firm founded by highly accomplished and seasoned professionals, based at Navi Mumbai. The firm is presently engaged in providing multifarious consulting services to its clients Indian and MNC organisations. Some of the key services presently being offered by: (a) Strategic Consulting; (b) Operational Excellence (CXO Services) and Continuous Improvement; (c) ESG Strategies and Compliance Services; (d) Comprehensive Enterprise Risk and Compliance Management; (e) Tax Advisory and Management Direct and Indirect, etc. The managing partners of this consulting firm are highly qualified (Chartered Accountants/Cost Accountants) and experienced professionals having worked in top positions in the corporate sector in positions like Head Finance, Global CFO, and Managing Director etc.

The firm plans to add Audit and Assurance line of services to its portfolio. Hence they are seeking to induct a young Chartered Accountant experienced in Audit and Assurance and Taxation to manage the practice.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position of: Partner, Chartered Accountant, CA Firm, Navi Mumbai

The Opportunity: A senior (Director level) career opportunity for a young and enterprising Chartered Accountant, experienced in Audits and Taxation, to associate with a young, early stage firm of Chartered Accountant, being positioned to be a firm to be known for high quality diversified range of contemporary professional and consulting services, to and be a Partner and important member of the management team, and set-up and lead Audit and Assurance and Taxation practice; develop business, cultivate relations at the highest level with corporate clients, and lead and manage Audit & Assurance and Tax assignments with clients in different Manufacturing and Services industries; and professionally develop himself/herself while working with the seasoned managing partners, who are some of the brightest fellow chartered accountants, cost accountants, and management professionals. Selected Partner would be fairly remunerated in line with the industry practice/market standards.

Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting To: Managing Partner

Remuneration: A fair remuneration comprising fixed and variable reward will be discussed in line with the industry/market practice..

Qualification: A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience: About 3 to 5 years of post-qualification good quality experience, steadily working in Audit and Assurance, and Taxation, preferably at well-known, mid-sized CA firms.

Candidate's Profile: A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with about 3 to 5 years of post-qualification, good quality experience in Audits and Taxation - leading and managing different types of Audits and Assurance assignments – Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, Advisory in Governance, Risk Control matrices, IFC, ICFR, Ind-AS; and , etc., besides Statutory Compliances, Taxation – Direct and Indirect, Client Representation before Tax authorities, etc. for clients in different manufacturing and services industry sectors – gained at reputed mid-sized CA firms.

Good experience in independently managing/conducting Statutory Audits and Internal Audits, and Taxation, specifically the Direct Tax would be desirable. Some exposure to managing CFO Services/ Outsourced Accounting of clients would also be useful. Team Leading experience is essential. Experience as Partner in an early-stage CA firm, or Proprietor in Starting/Leading a small CA Practice would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• To assist and support the managing partners in building, promoting, scaling-up, and managing an early-stage CA practice.
• Building a small team of qualified/semi-qualified CA's, and Articles, and other staff. Lead, guide, motivate, coach, and mentor the branch team to ensure completion of deliverables in Audit, Tax, and other services in a timely and effective manner; and ensure/enhance clients' satisfaction, and build the firm's goodwill.
• Leading and manage multiple Assignments in:
• Audit and Assurance, Tax, and Consulting/Advisory assignments - of different types, like: Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, TP Audit, Internal Audit, Governance and Risk Control, Stock Audits, Concurrent Audit, – of leading clients in different Manufacturing and Service industries;
• Direct Tax – Corporate Income Tax, TDS, International Tax/DTAA – Returns, Representation, and Advisory;
• Indirect Tax/GST – Returns, Representation, and Advisory;
• Company Law Matters – Including Advisory and Services, including Company Formation/Registration, Filing Annual Returns, and Forms;
• Certifications;
• CFO Services/Outsourced Accounting & Finance, and
• Corporate Advisory, etc.
• Proper Resource/Team allocation, guiding, supervising, and monitoring work progress on multiple audit, tax, and advisory assignments to ensure timely and satisfactory completion.
• To develop new business, regularly meet and build relationship with clients, and promoting the firm's business, and help grow revenue.
• To Liaison, Coordinate, and deal with Clients for day-to-day Business Operations, audit assignments; address operational and service delivery issues; ensure Customer Satisfaction; Billing, and Collection of Fees, etc.
