Role & responsibilities

  • Review and analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC projects including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting.
  • Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to gather current cost data and technical inputs.
  • Evaluate and quantify BOQs, cost breakdowns, and rate analysis.
  • Analyze subcontractor/supplier quotes and negotiate pricing where needed.
  • Prepare bid proposals, cost sheets, and tender documentation in accordance with client requirements.
  • Conduct techno-commercial evaluations and participate in bid clarification meetings.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Support post-bid negotiations and contract award processes.
  • Maintain historical cost data and benchmarking tools for future reference.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, client specifications, and industry standards.

Preferred candidate profile

  • In-depth knowledge of cost estimation methodologies and costing software.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project cycles engineering, procurement, construction phases.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools like Candy, CostX, or Primavera.
  • Experience in preparing cost estimates for mechanical, civil, electrical, or multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
