BMC is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our amazing team

In this role, you will work with amazing people who are working on the products that revolutionize our lives. You will develop design systems and user experiences for complex user software. You will take hands-on ownership over foundational areas of our design system and development process. Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Own and execute the end-to-end design process from requirement understanding to wireframes, prototypes, final UI, and design handoff.
• Translate complex business and user requirements into intuitive, scalable, and aesthetically pleasing design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including senior ux designers, product managers, developers, and researchers to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver high-impact experiences.
• Apply modern design techniques including responsive design, motion design, accessibility standards, and mobile-first or adaptive strategies.
• An ability to conduct research whenever required and contribute to our research program.
• Create, maintain, and evolve design systems, component libraries, and visual style guides for consistency and efficiency.
• Keep up with the latest design and UX trends, emerging tools, and industry advancements to apply cutting-edge practices in product work.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of core UX methodologies such as design thinking, journey mapping, service design, heuristic evaluation, A/B testing, and task analysis.
• Facilitate ideation sessions, design sprints, and collaborative workshops to align teams and drive innovation.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to junior designers when needed, and foster a culture of design critique and continuous improvement.

To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer on B2B applications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.

• Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Good understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout composition.
• Familiarity with user-centered design processes, user research techniques, and usability testing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment & attention to detail for producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• Knowledge of IT and system automation applications
• Experience with both SaaS and on-prem products

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 1,725,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
