Manager – Accounts, Compliance

We are a Chartered Accountant–led professional services firm managing accounting, taxation, compliance, and finance operations for multiple group companies. The CA will provide strategic direction and final oversight. This role is a senior execution and leadership position responsible for end-to-end finance operations, team management, and statutory compliance across multiple entities.Key Responsibilities1. Overall Ownership & Delivery

• End-to-end responsibility for accounting, taxation, payroll, and compliance for
  multiple companies
• Ensure
  100% on-time completion
  of GST, TDS, income tax, payroll, and statutory filings
• Plan work calendars, track deadlines, and ensure zero last-minute escalations

• Act as the single point of coordination between internal teams, auditors, consultants, banks, and the CA

• Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of
  2 Accounts Assistants and 1 Assistant Manager

• Allocate work, review outputs, and ensure quality control
• Train team members and build strong process discipline

• Ensure work continues smoothly even during peak compliance periods

• Accounting & MIS

• Review and finalise books of accounts (Tally)

• Ensure daily accounting, invoicing, vendor booking, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review MIS including:
• Daily sales and receivables reports
• Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and comparative analysis
• Weekly and monthly cash flow statements

• Highlight issues, risks, and delays proactively to the CA

• GST, TDS & Income Tax Compliance

• Oversee GST compliances including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, 2B reconciliation, LUT, annual returns

• Ensure correct TDS applicability, deductions, payments, and quarterly filings
• Reconcile Form 26AS with books and track TDS receivables

• Coordinate with statutory auditors for tax audit and annual filings

• Payroll, PF, ESI & Labour Compliance

• Supervise payroll processing and validations

• Ensure timely PF & ESI payments and returns

• Coordinate with HR and external consultants for statutory registers and compliance

• Banking & Cash Flow

• Manage banking operations including OCC, term loans, renewals, and certificates

• Monitor EMI obligations and working capital requirements
• Review bank interest and charges; flag discrepancies

• Ensure effective cash flow planning and liquidity management

• Audit, Due Diligence & Special Matters

• Coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely closure

• Provide data for due diligence, subsidies, EPCG, advance licence, BOE, and import duty matters
• Ensure no pendency in statutory or regulatory matters

Eligibility & Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
• CA Inter / CA Final (pursuing or completed)
• Strong practical exposure to Indian accounting and compliance environment

Preferred Skills

• Excellent command over Tally (mandatory)
• Strong working knowledge of
  Excel
  (reconciliations, MIS, cash flow, trackers)
• Ability to create and review
  PowerPoint presentations
  for management
• Hands-on experience in
  GST, TDS, payroll, and multi-company accounting
• Comfortable using
  AI tools
  for drafting, analysis, reconciliation support, and productivity
• Strong ownership mindset, planning ability, and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and ability to manage teams and stakeholders independently

Experience Required

• 6 to 10 years
  of relevant experience
• Prior experience in:
• CA firm, or
• Corporate finance/accounts role handling multiple entities
• Proven experience in
  leading teams and managing deadlines independently
