DevOps Manager

About the Company

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to lead our integrated DevOps, IT Operations, and Information Security functions. You will own the strategy, culture, tooling, and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) across the organization. Your leadership will ensure our engineering teams can ship high-quality software quickly and reliably (DevOps), while maintaining a secure and stable environment across all cloud and corporate assets (Security & IT Management).

About the Role

As a DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for leading the DevOps, IT Operations, and Information Security functions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and engineering needs.

Responsibilities:

Cloud & Delivery Strategy (DevOps & Platform Leadership)

• Platform Vision & Roadmap:
  Define, champion, and execute the multi-year DevOps maturity roadmap and technical strategy, ensuring tight alignment with overall company objectives and engineering needs.
• Pipeline Ownership:
  Own the architecture, security, and performance of the entire CI/CD ecosystem, ensuring automation, reliability, and speed in every deployment.
• Modern Practices:
  Drive the adoption of advanced engineering practices, including GitOps, progressive delivery (feature flags, canary/blue-green deployments), and chaos engineering for continuous system resilience testing.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  Maintain and govern all cloud platforms and infrastructure through code, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and version control across all environments.
• Team Leadership & Cultural Development
• Team Building:
  Recruit, lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and Platform Engineers.
• Performance Culture:
  Instill a culture of extreme ownership, continuous improvement, and learning, leveraging blameless post-mortems to drive systematic root-cause elimination and prevention.
• Operational Excellence:
  Oversee the definition and tracking of Key Result Areas (KRAs) across all company roles to ensure high operational efficiency organization-wide.

Performance, Reliability, and FinOps

• Data-Driven Decisions:
  Establish, track, and report on the DORA Four Key Metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time, MTTR, Change Failure Rate) and other relevant KPIs to provide actionable data for strategic decision-making.
• Cost & Capacity Management:
  Implement FinOps practices to manage cloud cost optimization and conduct proactive capacity planning to ensure scalable and efficient resource utilization.
• Incident Management:
  Lead the critical incident response process and ensure all incidents drive immediate remediation and long-term automation solutions to prevent recurrence.

Security, Governance, and Compliance

• Integrated Security (DevSecOps):
  Seamlessly integrate security and compliance controls throughout the pipeline, including implementing SAST/DAST, policy-as-code, Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) generation, and secrets management.
• Compliance & Risk:
  Own the efficient implementation and ongoing maintenance of crucial compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
• Security Oversight:
  Directly manage security efforts across the entire domain, covering both the software delivery platform and the workplace IT environment.

IT Asset & Vendor Management (Internal Operations)

• Workplace Tools & Licensing:
  Manage and optimize all software licenses (workplace applications like Zoho and development tools), ensuring legal compliance, cost efficiency, and creating standardized processes for their use.
• Hardware Lifecycle Management:
  Oversee the entire lifecycle of company hardware assets (laptops, servers, networking gear), including procurement, inventory tracking, deployment, maintenance, and secure disposal.
• Vendor and Service Management:
  Act as the primary technical point of contact for key vendors and third-party tools, managing service agreements, negotiations, and promptly resolving issues through established ticketing and follow-up processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Friction Removal:
  Actively partner with Architecture, Development, QA, Security, and Product teams to identify and eliminate process friction, accelerating overall business delivery.
• Tool Evaluation:
  Evaluate, select, negotiate, and onboard new third-party tools and vendors essential for enhancing the platform and internal operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps/Platform, IT, Software Engineering, with a minimum of 2+ years in a DevOps/Platform leadership or management role, specifically leading a team of engineers.
• Proven experience managing or overseeing IT Asset Management (ITAM) and corporate Information Security functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
