DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and be proficient in cloud technologies. You will be responsible for automating and streamlining operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, and troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operating Systems & System Administration

2. Linux/Unix: Most DevOps environments are built on Linux/Unix, so a strong command of these systems is crucial.

3. Windows Server: Knowledge of Windows environments for enterprises that use hybrid systems.

4. Scripting: Shell scripting, PowerShell, or Python for automating tasks.

5. Version Control Systems

6. Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket: Managing code, versioning, and collaboration.

7. Branching and Merging Strategies: Expertise in handling different code branches, managing merges, and resolving conflicts.

8. CI/CD Pipelines

9. Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, Travis CI: Building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

10. Automated Testing: Integrating testing within pipelines (e.g., unit tests, integration tests).

11. Containerization and Orchestration

12. Docker: Packaging applications into containers.

13. Kubernetes, Docker Swarm: Managing and orchestrating containerized applications across clusters.

14. Cloud Platforms

15. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud: Experience with cloud infrastructure, services, and solutions.

16. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager for provisioning infrastructure.

17. Monitoring and Logging

18. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk: Setting up and managing monitoring solutions.

19. Alerting and Incident Response: Implementing alert systems and responding to incidents.

20. Networking & Security

21. Networking Basics: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and load balancing.

22. Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security concepts, encryption, and vulnerability scanning tools.

23. Soft Skills

Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work closely with development and operations teams.

• Problem-solving: Troubleshooting complex systems and identifying potential issues.

• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices.

• Additional Tools and Frameworks

• Nginx, Apache: Knowledge of web servers and load balancers.

• Containers & Microservices Architecture

• Understanding Microservices: Knowledge of how to build, deploy, and manage microservices in a containerized environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with EC2, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
