Job Summary:

The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, maintaining compliance with regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role involves managing a team of accountants, preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and liaising with auditors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and business planning.
  • Oversee internal audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Implement and improve financial controls and processes.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Flexi etc).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, IT services, etc.].
  • Exposure to ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role with standard working hours.
  • Occasional travel may be required for audits, meetings, or training.
