Role : Senior Automation Test Engineer

About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team as an individual contributor. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation test solutions for our critical SAP applications, ensuring high quality and efficiency across our software delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for SAP GUI and SAP Enterprise Portal applications using UFT on SAP.

  • Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance, with a strong focus on test automation.

  • Collaborate closely with functional teams, developers, and business analysts to understand SAP business processes and translate manual test cases into efficient and effective automated scripts.

  • Hands-on expertise in building automation scripts from existing manual test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

  • Take ownership of designing and implementing various test automation frameworks, ensuring their scalability, maintainability, and long-term sustenance strategy.

  • Identify, analyze, and report defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies, leveraging best practices in test automation.

  • Ensure all test activities are well-documented within Azure DevOps and other relevant tools.

Required Qualifications :

  • Relevant Experience: 5-6 years of professional experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on test automation.

Testing Skills :

- Proficiency with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and CI/CD integration.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with UFT for automating tests on both SAP GUI and SAP Enterprise Portal.

  • Sound knowledge of various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and their practical application.

  • SAP Functional Knowledge: Working knowledge of at least one of the following SAP modules:

  • Materials Management (MM)

  • Sales and Distribution (SD)

  • Financial Accounting (FI)

  • Production Planning (PP)

  • Automation Frameworks: Prior experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining various test automation frameworks.

  • SAP Business Processes: Solid working knowledge and understanding of core SAP business processes.

  • Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

  • Must be a proactive and collaborative team player.

Good To Have :

  • Exposure to release management activities and best practices in regression testing.

  • Familiarity with change impact analysis tools such as BPCA.

  • Experience with documentation practices in SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN) tool.

  • Working knowledge of test automation on SAP S/4HANA environments.
