Overview: The Coordinator – Language Services – Nepali plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and language support for Nepali-speaking individuals within the organization. This position is integral in facilitating smooth communication between Nepali-speaking individuals and various departments, as well as providing translation and interpretation services as needed.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate language support services for Nepali-speaking individuals within the organization.
  • Provide translation and interpretation services as necessary to facilitate communication.
  • Ensure accuracy and cultural appropriateness in translation and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their language support needs.
  • Develop and maintain a network of Nepali-speaking language professionals for on-demand support.
  • Assist in developing language-related resources and materials.
  • Provide language-related guidance and support to staff encountering language barriers.
  • Manage language support requests and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with language access regulations and standards.
  • Participate in multicultural and diversity initiatives.
  • Conduct training on language and cultural competency as needed.
  • Stay updated on language-related trends and resources.
  • Contribute to the improvement of language access processes and practices.
  • Assist in coordinating language-related events and activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or related field.
  • Fluency in Nepali and English languages.
  • Proven experience in translation and interpretation.
  • Strong cultural competency and understanding of Nepali culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in using translation software and tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of language access regulations and standards.
  • Experience in coordinating language services is a plus.
  • Certification in translation or interpretation is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in language-related tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
