Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team at Jenoptik Smart Mobility Solutions, a leading global supplier of road safety solutions and latest product technology. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions to improve processes, increase efficiency, and drive business growth. 

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and ensure accurate month end closing, financial Reporting & Planning covering monthly/ quarterly internal reporting packages and budgeting
  • Being the SPOC for the Business Unit/Management and addressing their queries along with VP Business Partner & BU Controller
  • Driving and participate in the implementation of digital tools in the Business Unit/Division
  • Continuous process review, enhancement and optimisation of finance & accounting processes and driving cross-functional and BA projects
  • Identifying value creation opportunities based on business understanding
  • Assist with developing financial models to support business decision
  • Collaborating and driving the FPA and GBS Finance initiatives along with the team
Main tasks:
  • Prepare high quality budget submission and presentations
  • Independently driving Business Unit P&L process to ensure transparency in resource allocation process during budget cycles
  • Prepare analysis files for the management and addressing BA queries and submissions during budget processes
  • Drive digitalisation within the business unit and supporting divisional requests
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and partnering with management for strategic initiatives
  • Driving and active participation in internal and cross functional projects
  • Proactively collaborating with colleagues in other business units to continuously identify best practices for standardisation and simplification opportunities
  • Provide training to non-finance colleagues in the affiliate and grooming Korea team in budget related activities
  • Support investment analysis
  • Ensure SOPs are maintained as part of BCP
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Education:

  1. Master's in Finance (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute
  2. Good academic track record and grades

Experience:

  1. Minimum 5+ years of work experience in finance domain and 5+ years in FP&A with good understanding of finance value chain.
  2. Strong analytical skills and the ability to keep an eye on the overall process.
  3. Clear and precise communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  4. Working knowledge of VBA / Power BI is an added advantage.
  5. Proficiency in PC-tools, extensive knowledge of MS Office and SAP4HANA/Sage.
