About the Role:

As a Casual Dispensary Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Defence dispensary, helping to ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient service. Working weekday shifts between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, you'll collaborate closely with pharmacists and other health professionals to maintain high standards of care and compliance.

In this dynamic and hands-on role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Senior Pharmacist and/or Pharmacist with general dispensary operations
  • Coordinating the distribution of medical and dental stores, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Managing stock rotation and shelf life to maximise the use of expiring stock and oversee the return/disposal of expired items
  • Supporting stocktakes and inventory control processes in accordance with Defence policies and procedures
  • Fulfilling imprest orders and requisitions placed by Joint Health Command facilities and dependent units

Who We're Looking For:
This role requires a strong foundation of training and practical experience. To be eligible, you must have:

  • A Dispensary Technician Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a dispensary or pharmacy assistant role within the past 5 years
  • Recent Continuing Professional Development (CPD) participation
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Due to the security clearance required only Australian Citizens can be considered

About the Location:
Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, just 15 km from Darwin. The centre supports around 2,800 Defence personnel and hosts up to 2,500 US Marines during rotational deployments. Services offered include:

  • Medical, dental, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and mental health
  • A 22-bed ward operating 24/7
  • Clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
