Role & responsibilities

Manage day-to-day HR operations specific to the retail and jewelry industry, ensuring smooth execution of HR processes.

Oversee employee records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation, including certifications and training specific to retail or jewelry roles.

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and benefits related to employee purchases or discounts on jewelry.

Coordinate the recruitment process for retail and jewelry store positions, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates with relevant experience in the industry.

Conduct interviews, focusing on assessing sales, customer service, and product knowledge relevant to jewelry.

Facilitate onboarding for new retail and jewelry employees, ensuring training on products, store policies, and customer service standards.

Handle payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing, including commissions or incentives tied to sales performance.

Monitor compliance with industry-specific labor laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies, particularly in high-value product handling and customer service.

Address employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and any retail or jewelry-specific concerns.

Coordinate training and development programs, including sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer interaction specific to the jewelry industry.

Maintain performance management systems, ensuring evaluations align with customer satisfaction, sales targets, and product expertise.

Prepare HR reports related to staff performance, turnover, and industry-specific metrics.

Manage employee engagement initiatives, such as sales contests or recognition programs, to boost morale and performance in retail or jewelry stores.

Facilitate exit interviews, ensuring proper offboarding and transition, especially for roles in high-turnover retail positions.

Manage HR systems and ensure data integrity, especially regarding employee sales performance or inventory management.
