Role: Technical Support Expert - Level
Location: Bangalore
Duration: Full-Time Employee
Experience: 5 + yrs
Required Skills:
- Understand virtualization concepts and experience working within one or many hypervisors, specifically VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, and XenServer
- Work with CentOS, Ubuntu, OES, and many other Unix and Linux variants.
- Strong experience with backup solutions such as (SAAS/appliance/ and supporting tool)
- Make customers into raving fans by providing a superior customer experience while building life-long relationships
- Understand and communicate in-depth technical concepts, including but not limited to backup strategies, backup types, deduplication, WAN replication, hardware peripherals, virtualization, NAS/SAN storage, and cloud-related concepts
- Strong with chat support and typing skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Backup technologies/SQL/Linux
Responsibilities:
- Understand Linux concepts including but not limited to disk utilization, file editing, networking, security updates, hardware diagnostics, reading and interpreting log files, work with Postgres SQL database, work with open-source Linux tools such as openVPN, fuse, docker, flashcache, fio, postgres, quemu, and more.
- Perform in a production environment, partnering with customers, end users and resellers to implement best fit backup strategies, resolve backup and recovery related technical errors, implementing solutions tailored for each customer's need and desire.
- Listen, understand customer perspective, take ownership of issues, set proper and realistic expectations, and deliver prompt solutions.
