Job description:

A Purchase Manager oversees the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost efficiency and quality. Key responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. They monitor market trends, manage inventory levels, and ensure compliance with company policies and budget constraints. The role involves analyzing procurement data, optimizing supply chain processes, and resolving any supply-related issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for construction materials and services.
  • Maintain vendor database and build long-term supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, credit terms, and delivery timelines.

2. Material Procurement

  • Ensure timely procurement of construction materials as per project requirements.
  • Compare quotations, analyze cost, and select the best purchase options.
  • Monitor quality standards and coordinate for material approvals.

3. Coordination with Site & Project Teams

  • Work closely with site engineers to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
  • Resolve any issues related to material shortages, delays, or quality concerns.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all purchases follow company policies and compliance norms.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare purchase reports, material cost analysis, and vendor performance reviews.
  • Support management with data for budgeting and project planning.

Experience : 8 yrs-10 yrs
