Description
  1. Supervision & Control

To guide accounts team of all Power companies on complex accounting issues such as deferred tax accounting, depreciation, capitalization, coal purchase, inventory, revenue recognition etc. 

Coordinate with FSS/ Aegis team on transaction accounting. 

Liaison with statutory auditors on regular basis for Audit & certification work. 

    2. Accounting & MIS 

Review yearly standalone accounts of all power companies and consolidation of accounts before releasing to auditors Planning of accounts closing and coordination with other departments for the same.

To coordinate issues around the year depreciation, year end valuation of inventory, physical verification of assets, actuarial valuation, secretarial data, data from HR etc.

Coordinate with valuer for capitalization of plants under all power companies

Monthly review of Power monthly management information report. 

Taxation 

Regular monitoring of status of tax compliances across power companies in the area of direct & indirect taxation such as filing of e-tds return, issuing form 16, payment of TDS, VAT, Service tax, Excise duty, filing of periodical returns etc.
