 Job description of Brand Manager-FMCG ❖ Job title: Brand Manager-FMCG ❖ Department: Marketing ❖ Geography covered: Gujarat, Rajasthan and MP States, Corporate office. ❖ Reports to: Marketing Director ❖ Matrix: Management Consultant. ❖ Summary: We are seeking a passionate and strategic Brand Manager with a strong FMCG background to champion our assigned brands. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies that drive market share growth, brand awareness, and profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends, and the competitive landscape within the FMCG industry. ❖ Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead the development and execution of brand strategies for assigned FMCG brands. 2. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats. 3. Develop and manage marketing budgets for assigned brands. 4. Oversee creative development for brand communication materials (advertising, packaging, etc.). 5. Manage and collaborate with marketing agencies and creative partners. 6. Develop and implement brand activation plans to drive sales and engagement. 7. Monitor brand performance and measure the success of marketing campaigns. 8. Track and analyse market trends and consumer insights. 9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (sales, distribution, etc Stay informed of industry best practices and new technologies.
❖ Key Results Areas (KRAs): 1. Brand Growth: Increase market share for assigned brands by X% within Y timeframe. 2. Brand Awareness: Achieve a Y% increase in brand awareness among the target audience within Z timeframe. 3. Brand Positioning: Successfully reposition the brand in the market according to the defined strategy. 4. Marketing ROI: Achieve a positive return on investment (ROI) for all marketing campaigns. 5. New Product Launches: Successfully launch new FMCG products according to set timelines and budgets. 6. Brand Engagement: Increase brand engagement metrics (social media followers, website traffic, etc.) by X% within Y timeframe. 7. Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high customer satisfaction levels for assigned brands. 8. Brand Advocacy: Increase brand advocacy through positive word-of-mouth and customer reviews. 9. Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively and stay within allocated resources. 10. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team to achieve brand objectives. ❖ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): 1. Market share percentage 2. Brand awareness metrics (reach, impressions, etc.) 3. Brand perception surveys 4. Marketing campaign ROI (sales generated vs. marketing spend) 5. New product sales figures 6. Social media engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments) 7. Customer satisfaction scores (CSAT) 8. Net Promoter Score (NPS) 9. Budget variance 10. Team performance metrics (e.g., project completion rate, on-time delivery)
❖ Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in brand management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of success in developing and executing successful brand strategies.
• Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and market research methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in project management and budget control.
• Proficiency in marketing technology tools (e.g., CRM, marketing automation). Additional Desirable Skills:
• Experience in digital marketing and social media management.
• Knowledge of the FMCG industry and current market trends.
• Experience in product development and launch processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent writing and editing skills. Desired Certifications:
• Certified Marketing Professional (CMP) or equivalent certification (a plus).
