About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Technical Architect with deep expertise in Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) to lead enterprise-scale eCommerce initiatives. In this role, you will define, design, and drive the technical architecture for cutting-edge B2C digital commerce solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

You will serve as a key technical leader, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust SFCC architectures and guide the end-to-end implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design scalable, high-performance SFCC (B2C) solutions leveraging SFRA.
  • Lead technical design and development of complex SFCC applications, customizations, integrations, and APIs.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and architecture documents.
  • Define and enforce SFCC best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
  • Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, developers, and QA teams throughout the delivery cycle.
  • Conduct code reviews, architecture assessments, and performance optimizations to ensure solution quality.
  • Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams; troubleshoot complex implementation issues.
  • Integrate with third-party systems such as payment gateways, ERP, CRM, OMS, and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and compliance across all SFCC implementations.
  • Stay current with SFCC roadmap, SFRA enhancements, and evolving eCommerce technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in eCommerce development, including 4+ years as an SFCC Technical Architect.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C (Demandware) and SFRA.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (server/client-side), ISML, pipelines, controllers, and OCAPI.
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce architecture, performance optimization, and system integrations.
  • Proven experience with headless commerce, third-party integrations, and CDN configurations.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer and/or Architect certifications preferred.
