Role & responsibilities

  • Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd-level SAP support for end-users in manufacturing and related modules.

  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve system issues quickly and efficiently.

  • Assist in the creation and management of SAP change requests, SAP Notes, and system patches.

  • System Maintenance & Optimization:

  • Ensure that the SAP S/4HANA system is up-to-date with the latest patches and releases.

  • Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements or optimizations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for system enhancements and upgrades.

  • User Training & Documentation:

  • Provide training to end-users, ensuring they have the knowledge to use SAP systems effectively.

  • Create and maintain user documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SAP-related processes.

  • Configuration & Customization Support:

  • Assist with the configuration of SAP modules relevant to the manufacturing industry.

  • Support any necessary customization efforts for specific business requirements.

  • Work with the technical team to implement system modifications and improvements.

  • Integration Support:

  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP S/4HANA with other business applications (e.g., MES, PLM, WMS).

  • Support interfaces and data flows between SAP and other critical systems in the organization.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, including production, logistics, procurement, and finance, to ensure SAP systems meet operational requirements.

  • Act as the liaison between business teams and SAP technical support teams.

  • Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify and resolve production and operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime and operational disruption.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. SAP certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4HANA applications, specifically within manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with SAP modules such as Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM), and Plant Maintenance (PM).
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving SAP issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and integration.
  • Familiarity with SAP support tools (e.g., Solution Manager, SAP Transport Management System).
  • Knowledge of business processes in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and production planning.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
