Job Summary: (ONLY MALE STAFF FROM LOCAL AREAS PREFERRED )

The Accounts cum Purchase Assistant will support the hotel's Finance and Procurement functions by maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring statutory compliance, and handling purchase activities efficiently. The role is crucial in maintaining financial discipline, vendor relationships, and timely availability of supplies to meet the operational needs of a four-star hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts:

  • Record daily financial transactions including vouchers, journal entries, and ledgers.
  • Verify supplier invoices with purchase orders and goods received notes before processing payments.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records; reconcile vendor accounts periodically.
  • Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly financial reports, GST/TDS filings, and statutory returns.
  • Handle petty cash accounting, bank reconciliation, and support internal/external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel accounting policies and statutory norms.

Purchase:

  • Receive and review purchase requisitions from hotel departments.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors for quality supplies at competitive rates.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders; track and follow up on timely delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with the stores department for stock verification and replenishment.
  • Maintain updated vendor database, price lists, and contracts.
  • Ensure quality checks and verify bills against goods received.
  • Monitor cost control measures in line with hotel budget.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.Com / M.Com or Diploma in Finance/Accounts.
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounts and purchase, preferably in hospitality or retail sector.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and vendor management.
  • Hands-on experience with hotel accounting software / ERP (e.g., IDS, Fidelio, Tally).
  • Strong negotiation and vendor relationship skills.
  • Good communication (English & local language) and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
