Network L2 Engineer – Operations

Location: Mumbai | Experience: 4–8 Years | Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: IT Infrastructure / System Integration | Function: Network Operations

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Network L2 Engineer with deep expertise in SD-WAN technologies, network security, and traditional routing & switching. If you thrive in operational environments and enjoy working across multi-OEM platforms, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy SD-WAN appliances (Cisco Viptela preferred)
  • Design and implement SD-WAN templates, policies, and orchestrators
  • Provide operational support across Cisco Umbrella, Duo, ISE, Meraki Wi-Fi, and Data Center technologies
  • Perform packet analysis, contingency drills, software upgrades, and performance optimization
  • Mentor L1 engineers and support audit compliance
  • Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for escalations and fixes
  • Implement patches, updates, and workarounds based on OEM advisories

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E. (Electronics/Telecom/Computer) or B.Sc. (IT/Computer)
  • Certifications: CCNA / CCNP (R&S); SD-WAN certification is a plus

Skills & Experience
Area Requirements

SD-WAN Expertise Cisco Viptela, Versa, Meraki, Fortinet; multi-OEM experience preferred

Network Security ZBFW, DIA, IPS, AMP, URLF, ZTNA; QoS principles

Wireless Technology Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi

Routing & Switching Minimum 4 Years Of Hands-on Experience
Cloud Networking Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP (preferred)

Soft Skills Time management, multitasking, flexibility for off-hours maintenance
