Job Summary:
The QC Chemist is responsible for testing and analyzing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards and specifications. The role ensures compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Prepare standard solutions and reagents for laboratory testing.
- Perform tests such as pH, moisture, ash content, titration, and spectroscopic analysis.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, UV, IR, GC).
- Record and interpret test results accurately in lab reports and maintain documentation as per SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and safety protocols.
- Identify non-conforming materials and report deviations to the QC Manager.
- Support process validation and method development activities.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory.
