JD OF Purchase Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of all necessary items for establishing warehouses across various regions in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a wide range of products, including stationery and warehouse-related items. This role requires a proactive individual who is open to travel as needed to ensure the successful establishment of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the requirements for warehouse establishment in different regions of India.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure the best pricing and quality of goods.
  • Purchase items such as stationery, shelving, storage solutions, and other warehouse-related equipment.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify potential suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
  • Coordinate with finance and operations teams to ensure smooth procurement and billing processes.
  • Travel to different regions as required to assess supplier capabilities and warehouse needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India as needed.
