Role & responsibilities

  • Review all incoming contracts (AMC, Warranty, Procurement, and Project-based) to ensure terms are legally sound, clear, and align with company policies.
  • Draft customized contracts for AMC (with SLAs, response time, uptime guarantees), Warranty (performance guarantees and claim processes), Battery Energy Storage Projects (design, installation, commissioning, O&M), and Procurement (delivery schedules, inspections, payment terms, penalties).
  • Identify risks, ambiguities, and compliance gaps and provide recommendations for changes.
  • Ensure protection of company interests in clauses related to liability, indemnity, termination, payment terms, performance obligations, warranties, and penalties.
  • Provide litigation support by analysing contract terms, identifying potential risks, and developing resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve disputes through negotiation or mediation, minimizing legal escalation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams.
  • Work closely with vendors, clients, and OEMs to negotiate mutually agreeable contract terms.
  • Evaluate potential legal, commercial, and operational risks in contract clauses.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong understanding of the Indian Contract Act (ICA) and other laws governing renewable energy transactions, including Electricity Act, Environmental Laws, and Energy Regulatory Guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual provisions in the context of renewable energy projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) for preparing documents, tracking contract milestones, and analysing data.
  • Excellent legal drafting and communications skills and proficiency in English and Marathi
  • Knowledge of corporate law and procedure
  • Time management and prioritization skills, managing deadlines to meet stakeholders expectations
