CRM Project Manager (Salesforce) Technical Role

Role Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce CRM Project Manager with strong technical expertise to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Salesforce initiatives. This is not a pure coordination role – the ideal candidate will combine project management skills with hands-on Salesforce technical knowledge, including solution design, coding oversight, deep integration expertise, and end-to-end ownership of deliverables. You will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring scalable, high-quality solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Define, scope, and manage Salesforce CRM projects from initiation to closure.
  • Own project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Drive solution design sessions and take full end-to-end task ownership from requirements gathering to delivery.
  • Ensure Salesforce solutions align with organizational goals and best practices.

Technical & Solution Design Ownership

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution architecture.
  • Oversee development tasks, review code (Apex, LWC, Triggers, Integrations), and provide technical guidance to developers.
  • Manage Salesforce integrations with external applications and middleware (deep hands-on integration experience is a must).
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and implement scalable custom solutions.

Data & Reporting

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Salesforce environment.
  • Oversee dashboards, automation, and advanced reporting for actionable insights.
  • Document requirements, workflows, customizations, and system changes.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, service, and IT for smooth project delivery.
  • Support user adoption through training, workshops, and change management initiatives.

Continuous Innovation

  • Stay updated on Salesforce trends (AI, automation, advanced integrations).
  • Continuously improve user experience and system scalability.
  • Promote best practices in coding, deployment, and governance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (MBA is a plus).

Experience:

  • 3.5 – 4+ years in Salesforce roles (Developer / Tech Lead / Consultant).
  • 2+ years in Project/Delivery Management for Salesforce projects.

Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):

  • Salesforce Developer (PD1/PD2), App Builder, Admin, Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect.
  • PMP, CSM, or Agile certification.

Technical Expertise:

  • Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • REST/SOAP API, middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.) with deep experience in integrations.
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong grasp of CI/CD, deployments, and solution architecture.

Skills

Foundational Skills

  • Project Management (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall).
  • Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering.
  • Strong stakeholder & team leadership.

Technical Skills

  • Apex, Triggers, Visualforce, LWC.
  • API Integration & Middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc. – deep hands-on expertise required).
  • Data Modeling, Security, and Automation.
  • Solution Design & Technical Documentation.
