The Role:

In essence, a Salesforce Technical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of Salesforce projects, from planning and execution to delivery and support, ensuring successful outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Strategy

  2. Define Scope and Objectives: Work with stakeholders to define the project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  3. Develop Project Plan: Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  5. Stakeholder Management

  6. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their requirements and expectations are met.

  7. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with various teams, including developers, administrators, and business analysts, to ensure alignment and communication.
  8. Manage Expectations: Set and manage expectations with stakeholders regarding project progress, timelines, and deliverables.

  9. Technical Oversight

  10. Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the project adheres to best practices and Salesforce standards.

  11. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  12. Integration Management: Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other systems and tools as needed.

  13. Project Execution

  14. Coordinate Activities: Coordinate the efforts of project team members, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.

  15. Monitor Progress: Track project progress against the plan, adjusting as necessary to keep the project on track.
  16. Quality Assurance: Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to Salesforce best practices.

  17. Resource Management

  18. Team Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, tools, and budget.

  19. Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with third-party vendors or consultants if external expertise is required.

  20. Reporting and Documentation

  21. Status Reports: Provide regular updates and status reports to stakeholders, including project progress, risks, and issues.

  22. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, designs, and configurations.

  23. Change Management

  24. Handle Changes: Manage change requests and ensure they are assessed, documented, and communicated effectively.

  25. Adaptation: Adapt project plans and strategies based on changes in scope or new information.

  26. Training and Support

  27. User Training: Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for end-users to ensure they are comfortable with the new Salesforce implementation.

  28. Support: Provide post-implementation support and address any issues or questions that arise after the project goes live.

  29. Compliance and Governance

  30. Ensure Compliance: Ensure that the project adheres to organizational and regulatory compliance standards.

  31. Governance: Implement governance practices to ensure the project aligns with organizational policies and Salesforce best practices.

  32. Staffing & Recruitment

  33. Understand the nature of resource requirements from the customer or Account teams.

  34. Work with Talent Acquisition team for fulfilment of the positions.
  35. Responsible for onboarding the resources on customer systems and environments.

Skills Required:

  • Sales, Service, Financial Service, Health & Experience Clouds.
  • Working experience with LWC, Apex, Lightning and Salesforce development and deployment tools.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

Certifications Needed:

  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Salesforce Consultant
  • Scrum Master/PMP
  • Salesforce Architect Certifications (good to have)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Any Graduate
