Senior Mulesoft Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior MuleSoft Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in DataWeave transformations, Salesforce integrations, HL7 and EPIC healthcare connectors, and Flex Gateway for API management. The role demands strong solutioning, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across architecture, business, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy scalable integration solutions using Mule 4 and Anypoint Platform components (Design Center, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange).
• Develop complex DataWeave scripts for data transformation, cleansing, and mapping between heterogeneous systems.
• Integrate with Salesforce CRM using MuleSoft Salesforce connectors covering both SOAP and REST APIs, bulk operations, and bidirectional syncs.
• Implement healthcare integrations leveraging HL7, FHIR, and EPIC connectors, ensuring secure, compliant, and high-performance data exchange between EMR/EHR systems.
• Configure and manage Flex Gateway for secure, performant API deployment, including policy enforcement, rate limiting, analytics, and hybrid/cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to define API-led connectivity architecture (System, Process, and Experience APIs).
• Implement robust exception handling, logging, and reusable error frameworks following MuleSoft best practices.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for Mule applications (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps).
• Conduct performance tuning, code reviews, and enforce integration design standards.
• Develop MUnit test cases, participate in peer reviews, and ensure quality assurance across all integration layers.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and support cross-functional teams during integration projects.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

Core Integration Skills

• Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Runtime Fabric (RTF), CloudHub.
• Proficient in API-led architecture, microservices, and integration design patterns.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous messaging, publish-subscribe, and event-driven architectures.

Data Transformation

• Advanced expertise in DataWeave 2.0 aggregations, recursive logic, JSON/XML/CSV transformations, and performance optimization.
• Data validation, enrichment, and canonical data model design.

Connectors & Integrations

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce connectors, HL7, and EPIC healthcare connectors.
• Knowledge of JDBC, SFTP, HTTP, JMS, and Web Services (SOAP/REST) connectors.
• Familiarity with FHIR data models and healthcare data interoperability standards.

Flex Gateway & API Security

• Configuration and deployment of Flex Gateway in hybrid/cloud environments.
• Implementation of API security policies — OAuth 2.0, JWT, client ID enforcement, rate limiting, IP whitelisting.
• Integration with identity providers (Okta, Ping, Azure AD).

DevOps, Cloud, and Monitoring

• CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Monitoring with Anypoint Monitoring, Splunk, or ELK.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes deployment models.
