Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Backend Developer at DevOpsLabs India office at Coimbatore. As our Senior Backend Developer, you will lead the charge in developing high-quality, efficient, and scalable code. You will play a crucial role in guiding our development team through project lifecycles, ensuring our backend infrastructure supports our ambitious goals. This is an opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive projects to success while mentoring junior developers and promoting a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications.
  • Implement and manage Spring Boot-based applications.
  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries for MySQL databases.
  • Utilize Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Apply basic Elastic Search techniques as needed.
  • Implement DevOps concepts and use basic Linux commands in daily tasks.
  • Use Spring Suites for enhanced productivity (preferred).
  • Perform thorough debugging and unit testing to ensure robust code quality.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications for the development team.
  • Deliver high-quality work and contribute to team success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices, RESTful APIs, ELK and familiarity with front-end technologies.
  • Proficient in database technologies, both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
  • Experience in leading development projects from conception to deployment, showcasing strong project management skills.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps/Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in working with Gradle or Maven.
  • Experience with Spring Suites is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in integrating software components and third-party programs, with a keen eye for optimizing applications for speed and scalability.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a passion for learning and mastering new technologies.
