Purpose of the role

  • Executes the sourcing and Procurement activities / Priorities at local level and is the first escalation interface with local suppliers, planning, site quality and R&D departments
  • Acts as the key procurement interface with BU product management team for existing and new products construction chemical portfolio

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures the price and contract management for Third-Party Manufacturing (3PM) products for construction chemicals (including tile adhesives, tile grouts, micro concrete, repair mortars, sealants, etc
  • Conducts commercial negotiations and manages suppliers as delegated by team.
  • Act as first escalation interface with local suppliers, planning, site quality and R&D departments
  • Ensure value engineering savings project implemented with managed suppliers
  • Proposes and monitors corrective actions following reports of non-conformity from suppliers
  • Evaluate and educate suppliers in the field in accordance with the requirements of our company.
  • Identifies industrial excellence opportunities, communicates with category and execute for the site
  • Updates Purchasing databases in the SAP system and Purchasing Info sheets as required
