Operations and Logistics Manager – Craft & Glory
The Role

As Operations and Logistics Manager, you will act as the bridge between production and business leadership. You'll spend significant time on the shop floor, quantifying workflows, building rapport with craftsmen, and generating actionable insights for management. Importantly, this role does not stop at analysis: once improvement initiatives are approved, you will be responsible for executing them end-to-end — driving measurable gains in cost efficiency, productivity, and asset utilization across the business.

In addition, this role carries full responsibility for
supply-side management and outbound logistics

. You will ensure that demand is met on time, production targets are achieved, inventory remains balanced, and supply chains function without disruption. Key Responsibilities

Production & Workflow Coordination

• Partner with production teams on the shop floor to map processes across cutting, lasting, finishing, and QC.
• Build trust with workshop employees to uncover operational pain points and improvement opportunities.
• Document workflows and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Oversee day-to-day production to ensure achievement of monthly and quarterly output targets.

Quantification, Insights & Execution

• Track operational KPIs such as throughput, downtime, rejection rates, and turnaround times.
• Provide leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations for cost efficiency and asset utilization.
• Once approved, lead the implementation of these initiatives — ensuring sustained improvement, adoption, and measurable impact.

Supply-Side Management & Forecasting

• Conduct supply-side forecasting to align production with demand and prevent stock-outs.
• Manage inventory to balance working capital efficiency with service levels.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure raw materials and consumables are delivered on time and in full.
• Liaise with third-party manufacturers (where applicable) to ensure finished goods or work-in-progress arrive as per quoted specifications and agreed timelines.

Vendor Development & Procurement

• Continuously identify and qualify new vendors for raw materials, consumables, and capital equipment.
• Conduct L1/T1 analyses for price, quality, and reliability to drive competitive sourcing.
• Negotiate terms and maintain a resilient vendor ecosystem.

Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics

• Maintain accurate inventory visibility and optimize stock levels.
• Oversee order fulfillment across D2C, retail, and marketplace channels.
• Manage outbound logistics partners to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries to customers - identify shortcomings and implement SOPs to overcome the same

Process & Systems

• Support ERP/SCM system usage and ensure reliable data capture.
• Standardize and streamline processes to reduce inefficiencies.
• Recommend and implement automation tools where feasible.

Cross-Functional Support

• Align operations with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service for new launches and campaigns.
• Ensure production readiness for upcoming product lines.

Ideal Profile

Experience:

3–5 years in operations, supply chain, or production management in D2C, FMCG, retail, or manufacturing environments.

Skills:

• Strong grounding in shop floor coordination, supply-side management, logistics, process mapping, and vendor management.
• Proven analytical ability to turn raw data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ownership in not just recommending, but also executing improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with ERP/Excel and comfort with KPI-driven reporting.

Education:

Graduate degree required; MBA/PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred.
