Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer Plant Maintenance to join our team in a Fabrication and Foundry unit. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance of heavy plant machinery, equipment, and systems in an industrial environment. The candidate should possess a strong background in preventive and corrective maintenance processes and have a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Maintenance: Oversee the routine maintenance, repair, and servicing of plant machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems in the fabrication and foundry unit.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly identify issues with machinery and equipment, provide troubleshooting support, and execute repairs to restore operational efficiency.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective measures to prevent future breakdowns.
  • Equipment Calibration & Testing: Ensure proper calibration and testing of equipment to maintain production quality standards.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage maintenance-related projects, including machinery installations, upgrades, and plant shutdowns.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality control, and engineering, to ensure seamless plant operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, equipment logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure that maintenance work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and plant performance, suggesting new technologies, tools, or practices.
  • Training & Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians on maintenance best practices and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • 7 to 12 years of hands-on experience in plant maintenance, specifically in fabrication and foundry units or similar heavy industrial sectors.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Strong knowledge of plant maintenance best practices, failure analysis, and repair techniques.

  • Tools & Equipment:

  • Experience with industrial tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Familiarity with welding, machining, and casting processes.

  • Problem Solving:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues quickly.

  • Leadership:

  • Ability to manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians.
