About the Role:
As a NOC Specialist, you will be a vital part of our 24x7 Operations Center in Gurgaon and Chennai, India, ensuring the reliability and performance of Gartner's IT infrastructure and applications. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to the evolution of our IT landscape.
What you will do:
- Operate within a 24x7 environment, providing expert support for cloud platforms and network infrastructure, as well as IT Service Management.
- Proactively monitor and manage IT applications and infrastructure events to maximize system availability and minimize response times, utilizing advanced monitoring and alerting tools such as, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, New Relic, Cisco Meraki or Grafana.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents related to application and system faults, leveraging troubleshooting techniques on both Linux and Windows server environments.
- Provide support for network and unified communication infrastructure by remotely connecting to network appliances and resolving incidents.
- Collaborate with SaaS providers to address and resolve application support issues, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Work closely with change and configuration managers to uphold operational excellence and best practices.
- Establish strong relationships with client-facing teams and resolution groups to swiftly address and resolve reactive complaints.
- Consistently achieve NOC metrics and adhere to process governance, focusing on key operational KPIs.
- Contribute to the development of new innovations and automation solutions to optimize daily operations and enhance overall efficiency.
- Participate in continual improvement initiatives within the organization, including process improvement.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree required; Engineering graduates preferred.3-5 years of experience in IT operations support, with familiarity in microservices architecture and foundational cloud computing concepts.
Must have:
- Proven ability to perform first and second-level analysis and fault isolation for applications and network infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Catchpoint, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Experience with monitoring platforms, cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Possess a basic understanding of network equipment, topologies, and key concepts such as DNS, DHCP, routers, firewalls, VPN and related networking protocols.
- Understanding of ITIL or other IT Service Management frameworks, with certification being a plus.
- Exposure to support critical outages and follow incident response procedures.
- Strong documentation skills are a plus, particularly for creating Standard Operating Procedures and comprehensive knowledge base articles.
- Ability to analyse logs and metrics to identify trends and potential issues.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and with global stakeholders.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of workload management, with exposure to Azure Data Factory and fundamental SQL skills.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required
Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
