Senior Product Architect

Job Description
15+ years in telecom systems engineering or product architecture roles.

Deep understanding of 4G EPC and 5G Core architecture (SA/NSA), protocols (SCTP, GTP, PFCP), and interfaces (N1-N16, S1, S5/S8).

Experience with cloud-native platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, OpenStack.

Proficiency in programming/scripting: Python, Golang, C/C++, Bash.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and automated testing frameworks.

Strong grasp of network security, QoS, and orchestration (ONAP, ETSI MANO).

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
Define and evolve system architecture for 5G Core and 4G-5G converged core networks.

Translate 3GPP standards into scalable, cloud-native architecture and product requirements.

Collaborate with product management, engineering, and operations to align technical vision with business goals.

Lead system-level design reviews and ensure end-to-end integration across network functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, etc.).

Evaluate and recommend technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, SDN/NFV, and service mesh frameworks.

Guide CI/CD integration and DevOps practices for telecom-grade software delivery.

Support customer engagements, PoCs, and field trials with technical leadership.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.

Experience with open-source telecom projects (e.g., ONF Aether, Open5GS).

Exposure to AI/ML applications in network optimization or anomaly detection.

About The Team
Tejas Networks provides scalable and innovative 4G/5G solutions. Our portfolio encompasses Radio Access Network solutions including Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) or Radio Units (RUs), Massive MIMO Radios (Advanced Antenna Systems, AAS) and Base Band Units (BBUs), Distributed Units (DUs) and Centralized Units (CUs), Mobile Packet Core and an Advanced Network management solution.
