About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Acoustics & Noise Modelling Engineer
to join our environmental consultancy team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in acoustic assessments and noise modelling, with proven experience on projects across GCC countries. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex environmental and infrastructure projects, focusing on noise impact assessment and effective mitigation design.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in acoustics and noise modelling, preferably within an environmental consultancy.
  • Proven track record in handling GCC projects (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, etc.) is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of GCC environmental regulations and international noise standards (IFC, WHO).
  • Proficient in software such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with acoustic measurement instruments and field data collection.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct acoustic and noise modelling studies for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and other consultancy assignments.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools such as
    SoundPLAN
    ,
    CadnaA
    , or equivalent for noise prediction, simulation, and analysis.
  • Develop noise mitigation strategies in compliance with international and GCC environmental regulations.
  • Prepare technical documentation including baseline noise reports, impact assessments, and mitigation plans for clients and authorities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (air quality, water, waste, civil, and mechanical engineers) to integrate acoustic solutions within project designs.
  • Liaise with GCC-based clients and stakeholders to ensure adherence to project specifications, local standards, and permitting requirements.
  • Support proposal preparation and business development for acoustics and environmental noise projects.
