Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Modeler to join our dynamic team at BCAD Global in Coimbatore. This is a full-time role that requires expertise in creating detailed 3D models for structural steel detailing. The ideal candidate should have proficiency with industry-specific software and a strong background in the civil engineering industry.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong proficiency in AISC, SDS/2, and Modeler (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in using Tekla, Tekla Structures, and SDS2 for modeling and detailing purposes.
  • Experience as a Checker and Detailer in the structural steel detailing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel detailing.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately.
  • Competence in creating 3D models and generating shop and part drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the team and clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Creating detailed 3D models for structural steel projects using SDS/2 and other relevant software.
  • Interpreting architectural and structural designs to develop accurate models and drawings.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Generating shop drawings, part drawings, and erection plans based on the 3D models.
  • Conducting quality checks on models and drawings to maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Providing technical support and expertise for ongoing projects across the USA and Canada.
  • Updating project documentation and reports as necessary.
  • Ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to company and industry standards.
