Job Summary:

The Audit Assistant will support the audit team in performing statutory, internal, and tax audits for clients across various industries. The role involves preparing financial statements, verifying records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting in identifying financial discrepancies or areas of improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and execution of audits as per the audit program and client requirements.
  • Verify and analyze financial statements, ledgers, and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS, GAAP).
  • Perform vouching, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliations of accounts (bank, debtors, creditors, etc.).
  • Assist in conducting internal control reviews and identifying areas of risk.
  • Prepare audit working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation for review by senior auditors.
  • Help in the drafting of audit reports and management letters highlighting key findings.
  • Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary information and resolve queries promptly.
  • Support in tax audits, GST audits, and compliance checks as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client data and adhere to professional ethics.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com).
  • Pursuing CA/ICWA/ACCA or completed CA Inter is preferred (for articleship/CA firm roles).
  • 0–3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a similar role (freshers can apply if articleship is required).

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software (experience with SAP or QuickBooks is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Accuracy and timeliness of audit work.
  • Quality and completeness of working papers and documentation.
  • Compliance with audit procedures and professional standards.
  • Client satisfaction and positive feedback from seniors/CA.

Pay: ₹10, ₹35,950.01 per month
