Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in West Bengal, India, for an R&D Polymer Engineer. The role involves conducting research and development activities, testing new materials, and contributing to the development of innovative plant-based leather products. The engineer will also play a critical role in optimizing material properties, identifying sustainable sourcing methods, and collaborating with the broader team to advance product performance and quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills to identify, evaluate, and innovate on new materials and processes
  • Proficiency in Testing methodologies and Product Development for materials/products in alignment with sustainability goals
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess material performance, provide insights, and solve technical problems
  • Solid understanding of polymer science and eco-friendly material technologies
  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Experience in sustainable material innovation or a similar industry is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Peferably, CIPETian, a 0-1 year experienced PGD-PPT, B.Tech, M.Teh ad M.Sc
