About The Role
As a Sr. Sales Operations Engineer, you'll manage pipeline operations, forecasting, and deal execution to enable revenue growth. In this role, you'll build and maintain dashboards, reports, and trackers in Salesforce and Excel, perform financial and cost analyses for deals, and support the creation of customer-facing and executive presentations. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Delivery, and Legal teams to ensure smooth and timely deal execution, identify trends, risks, and opportunities in sales data, and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency—all while executing strategic priorities under the guidance of the Sales Operations Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sales operations processes including pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and deal desk support.
- Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards, reports, and performance trackers in Salesforce and Excel.
- Support pricing strategy by preparing competitive analysis, cost models, and approval documentation.
- Draft and design customer-facing and executive PowerPoint presentations under leadership guidance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Delivery, and Legal teams to enable smooth deal execution and approvals.
- Conduct first-level data analysis to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for sales leadership.
- Ensure data accuracy and governance across sales systems and reporting frameworks.
- Proactively identify process gaps and propose solutions for operational efficiency and automation.
- Provide back-end support for cross-functional initiatives and business reviews.
- Partner closely with the team lead (you) to deliver on strategic priorities and customer-facing commitments.
Basic Qualifications
- 5-8 years of proven experience in sales operations (preferably in IT services, security, AI, or data).
- Advanced skills in SF and Excel (pivot tables, financial modelling, analytics).
- Strong PowerPoint presentation and executive communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in pricing, commercial negotiations, and deal structuring.
- Excellent communication, strong team player, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work aligned to EST time zone.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in a quantitative field) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with reporting/dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau, BI tools). Knowledge of data governance best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to perform financial analyses, cost modeling, and identify sales trends, risks, and opportunities.
