Background to the Position:
This role is a strategic and leadership role within the People Function.
Purpose of the Role:
The role-holder will lead the People Function Business Partnering for Emerging Businesses (Fragrance & Fashion Accessories and Taneira) and corporate functions. Partner with the business to design & deliver the people strategy. The role holder is expected to be the architect of culture, employee champion, ER & Compliance custodian and trusted advisor.
Position Summary & Responsibilities:
People Strategy:
Develop and implement people strategies that align with business objectives and enhance organizational performance. Engaging and partner with business leaders to define strategic people priorities like talent management, workforce planning, growth & succession, employee cost management, etc.
Talent Acquisition:
Ensuring right talent at the right time for the division via internal / external hiring. Identify the new opportunities / competencies in the market and develop a strategy to develop / acquire the talent as per business requirements.
Internal Consulting:
Partner with the business leadership team to identify the business challenges / requirements to provide the required support as per the challenges through market scanning.
Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to curate solutions for specific business challenges. E.g. Organization design, Productivity Norms etc.
Partner as a change agent for effecting organizational / divisional changes, ensuring smooth transition and support to the leadership and employee groups.
Employee Experience:
Support the leaders & managers in building a positive work- climate
Custodian of the employee experience by understanding concerns, resolving grievances, and driving superior employee experience.
L&D, Talent & Performance Management:
Coach the division leaders on goal setting, feedback, review, rating, etc. to ensure high performance culture.
Enable internal talent growth through talent reviews, succession planning, development and learning interventions, partnering with relevant CoEs.
People Function Leadership:
Torchbearer for leading all People Function driven priorities in the organization.
Establishing a process and data driven function while elevating the functional expertise and thought leadership.
Living by the PeopleNXT charter and tenets.

Work Experience
Education: Master's degree in human resources, or a related field.
Experience: at least 12+ years in leading and managing retail units or similar roles, including a significant portion in a leadership role.
Experience working in a retail environment is highly beneficial, as it provides insight into the unique challenges of this setting.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations applicable to the retail stores.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
