Core Purpose Of The Role
Monitoring and controlling the operational and compliance activities in the warehouse. Ensuring proper documentation, quality compliance, and job-specific training for the warehouse personnel. Compliance with Syngene's safety & quality standards at all times.

Overall adherence to EHSS practices and procedures of oneself and the teams aligned at the workplace.

Role Accountabilities

  • Handling & Monitoring of overall warehouse operation and compliance activity.
  • Responsible for the approval of second-level purchase requisitions.
  • Review of shop floor-related warehouse documentation and document control.
  • Handling of warehouse Deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and close-out and implementation at the right times.
  • Preparation and review of SOPs, Change Control, Deviation Reports, Protocols, and reports related documents.
  • Preparation of URS, Risk assessment, Impact assessment, Protocols, Reports, and APQR for the equipment and facility.
  • To ensure the qualification activities of areas and equipment for the warehouse are effectively carried out and follow up with project team.
  • Impart training on the warehouse-related activities, SOPs, and deliver competency-based and compliance-based training/ awareness training.
  • Managing the Audit/Visit for the warehouse and ensuring the warehouse area for all time audit readiness.
  • Internal/External audit response and CAPA implementation.
  • Overall coordination and interacting with cross-functional departments such as Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production, Purchase, Supply Chain, Commercial Admin, Finance, Regulatory, EHSS, and Engineering departments.
  • Adherence to procedural systems, EHSS, Statutory, Regulatory, Quality, cGMP, Data integrity, and transparency are maintained within the organization.
  • To follow all cGMP and safety Practices and adhere to EHSS policies.
  • Review the Execution and reporting of physical stock verification.
  • Coordination with the team for the Receipt, dispensing, and issue of raw materials and packing materials.
  • Raw and packing materials issuance planning in coordination with the production department.
  • Reporting to the department head with respect to material receipt, issues, and other warehouse-related activities.
  • Implementation of" SOPs, Risk assessment, and other quality and

  • Planning & Organization: Efficiently plan warehouse activities, manpower, and shift schedules to ensure smooth operations.
  • Decision-Making: Take quick, informed decisions to resolve operational bottlenecks (e.g., delays, space constraints, equipment breakdowns).
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste, enhance throughput, and improve inventory accuracy.

  • Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce safety standards (PPE use, material handling protocols, emergency drills).
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to company standards and procedures for receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain records and practices compliant with internal audits and legal requirements (e.g., EHS, labor laws).

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Inventory Accuracy: Analyze discrepancies, identify root causes, and prevent recurrence.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use KPIs (e.g., order fulfillment rate, storage utilization, picking accuracy) for performance tracking.
  • Resource Optimization: Balance manpower, equipment, and storage space for cost efficiency.

Communication & Coordination

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with procurement, logistics, production, and sales teams.
  • Clear Communication: Maintain transparent communication on targets, issues, and expectations.
  • Customer Orientation: Support on-time delivery and respond to internal/external customer needs promptly.

Strategic & Continuous Improvement Mindset

  • Lean Thinking: Apply lean warehousing techniques (5S, Kaizen, Just-in-Time).
  • Change Management: Lead automation or digitalization initiatives (e.g., WMS, barcode/RFID).
