Job Description: Sales Account Manager (6–9 Years) – NoidaRole Summary
The Sales Account Manager will manage a portfolio of active and inactive accounts, drive revenue growth, and ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires a strong techno-commercial mindset to understand client needs at a functional/solution level, position offerings effectively, and build long-term strategic relationships. The individual will work closely with delivery, presales, and leadership teams to identify opportunities, resolve issues proactively, and strengthen account health.Key Objectives
Grow revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and re-activating dormant accounts.
Maintain high CSAT scores by ensuring delivery excellence and responsiveness.
Build strong customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
Strengthen account mapping, increase wallet share, and support long-term account strategy.Core Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end account ownership for a mix of active and inactive clients, ensuring consistent engagement and opportunity mining.
Drive revenue growth by identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities & sales targets across services and solutions.
Ensure customer satisfaction (CSAT) through proactive communication, timely resolution of escalations, and coordination with internal delivery teams.
Conduct account planning — stakeholder mapping, competitor analysis, tracking project pipelines, and forecasting revenue.
Lead commercial discussions including proposals, negotiations, contract renewals, and pricing support.
Coordinate with presales & delivery teams to align customer requirements with internal capabilities.
Track account performance metrics and maintain accurate reports in CRM and internal dashboards.Must-Have Skills (Technical & Soft)Technical/Domain
Strong techno-commercial understanding of IT services/solutions (functional, not deep technical).
Hands-on experience in account farming, retention, and revenue ownership.
Ability to read, interpret, and present commercial proposals/SOWs/MSAs.
Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar).
Good understanding of delivery models: fixed-bid, T&M, managed services.Soft Skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
High customer empathy and problem-solving orientation.
Strong planning, documentation, and follow-up discipline.
Ability to manage multiple accounts with structured prioritization.Good-to-Have Skills
Exposure to international clients (US/Europe).
Understanding of digital solutions such as UI/UX, QA, product engineering, cloud, etc.
Experience working with delivery teams or PMO functions.
Prior involvement in proposal creation or bid management.Experience Requirements
6 to 9 years of work experience in sales/account management roles.
Proven experience in managing IT services accounts, preferably mid-size or enterprise.
Strong record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Must have exposure to client-facing interactions and stakeholder coordination.KPIs / Success Metrics
Revenue Achievement: % of upsell, cross-sell, and re-activated account revenue.
CSAT Score: Measured through client feedback and escalation reduction.
Account Retention Rate: Renewals, churn control, and long-term relationship strength.
Opportunity Pipeline Coverage: Quarterly pipeline targets and deal closures.
Response & Follow-up SLA: Speed and quality of communication with clients.
Accuracy of Forecasting and CRM hygiene.
