The Accounts Executive manages the day-to-day financial transactions and record-keeping for thecompany, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper financial health. This role is typically an essential, hands-on position within the finance department.

Responsibility Area

Key Duties

Transaction Processing & Recording

  1. General Ledger (GL) Maintenance: Accurately record all financial transactions (purchases, sales, receipts, payments) into the accounting software (e.g., Tally, WizApp 2020).

  2. Journal Entries: Prepare, review, and post routine and non-routine journal entries, ensuring proper supporting documentation.

  3. Financial Statement Support: Assist the senior team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement).



Accounts Payable (A/P) & Receivable (A/R)

  1. Accounts Payable (A/P): Process vendor invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and ensure timely and accurate payment runs.

  2. Accounts Receivable (A/R): Generate and issue sales invoices, track client payments, and manage follow-up on overdue amounts to ensure healthy cash flow.



Reconciliation & Compliance

  1. Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to match internal cash records with bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.

  2. Statutory Compliance: Assist in the calculation, preparation, and submission of tax returns (e.g., GST/VAT, TDS/Tax Withholding, Payroll Taxes) and other statutory filings.

  3. Audit Support: Prepare documentation and schedules to assist both internal and external auditors during financial reviews.



Analysis & Administration

  1. Reporting: Generate and analyze various internal financial reports, such as aging reports for A/R and A/P.

  2. Documentation: Maintain an organized and complete system of all financial records, contracts, and supporting documents.
