Overview: As a Business Development Executive in a construction company, your primary focus will be on identifying and securing new business opportunities within the construction industry. You will play a key role in driving growth, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Role & responsibilities
- Lead preparation of tender, proposal bids, and negotiation with Client.
- Reviews and finalizes project cost estimates as prepared by the Estimation Engineer in terms of the required material as per bill of quantities (BOQ), amount of work, material/ equipment/ and manpower requirements during the tendering phase; this includes all systems, products and services to client as per specifications/ requirements.
- Attending Negotiation Meetings, preparation of justification of quoted rates, if any required by Client before award of work.
- Study, examine and evaluate tender documents from a technical point of view to identify risk factors, ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards and coordinate with the Division Heads and other concerned persons.
- Enquire, consult and coordinate with client & consultants representatives for specification/ technical and commercial clarifications required for tender proposals and attend pre-tender meetings.
- Prepare, compile & submission of all tenders by online & offline.
- To carry out all the activities related to tender management, from the preliminary stages to post-award and contractual obligations.
- Evaluating tender / Bid documents & schedules.
- Preparation of Pre-Qualification of tender document.
- Preparation of Pre bid queries.
- Preparation of tender costing.
- Scrutiny of tender documents.
- Evaluate the tenders with Commercial conditions and Technical specifications.
- Pricing / Estimation / Costing (Preparation of Rate analysis).
- Preparation of Technical / Commercial Bid documents.
- Responsible for timely submission of tenders and its follow up.
- Should be good in techno commercial and legal/Regulatory terms and conditions of Request for proposal (RFPs) Tenders.
Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, government agencies, and industry partners to stay informed about upcoming tender opportunities.
- Attend industry events, pre-bid meetings, and networking sessions to enhance the company's visibility.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities related to tendering.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the management team based on market intelligence.
