Were building a new-age brand rooted in innovation, transparency, and efficacy, and were looking for a highly experienced and innovative R&D Specialist with over 5 years of expertise in the development of natural and nature-based personal care products. The ideal

candidate will have a deep understanding of cosmetic science, a passion for clean beauty, and a

proven track record in end-to-end product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Innovation:

Research global beauty & wellness trends and translate them into innovative product ideas. Lead the end-to-end development of skincare products from concept to launch.

  • Maintain and update formulation lists, ingredient trackers, and product documentation using Excel.

  • Product Optimisation:

Continuously enhance existing formulations for efficacy, cost efficiency, sensorial appeal, and

market competitiveness. Collaborate with R&D labs, formulators, and manufacturers to create high-performing, safe, and compliant products.

  • Stability & Compatibility Testing:

Design and conduct robust stability, compatibility, and performance tests ensuring product safety, shelf life, and efficacy.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with BIS, FDA, and global cosmetic regulations. Maintain complete

documentation including PIFs, MSDS, COAs, and technical dossiers.

  • Manufacturing Support:

Liaise with manufacturing and QA/QC teams to scale lab batches to full production while

maintaining formula integrity. Ensure timely launches while maintaining quality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination:

Work closely with Marketing, Packaging, and Creative teams to transform product concepts into

commercial success.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

Bachelor's or Master's in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related

discipline.

  • Experience:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in formulating cosmetics, personal care, or skincare

products.

Strong expertise in natural and herbal formulations is essential.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in emulsions, surfactants, actives, essential oils, and botanical extracts

  • In-depth knowledge of global cosmetic ingredient regulations

  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills

  • Passionate about clean beauty, green chemistry, and sustainable product development

  • Comfortable with international travel and supplier/vendor interactions
